Speech Therapy

Department Information
Speech Therapy (ST) or Speech-Language Pathology is skilled treatment focusing upon disorders of human communication and swallowing. The staff is specially trained to evaluate and treat the following conditions: 
  • Speech disorders
  • Articulation problems
  • Fluency problems
  • Voice problems
  • Paradoxal vocal fold dysfunction
  • Oral and written language problems
  • Strokes & other neurological conditions
  • Head injuries
  • Swallowing dysfunctions
  • Auditory processing problems

The staff provides evaluation services, such as:
  • Videofluoroscopic swallow studies
  • Augmentative communication evaluation and treatment
  • Modified barium swallows

The staff provides skilled services in the following rehabilitation programs:
  • In patient
  • Out patient Programs
  • Pediatrics

Jenna Winters

Education:
Perdue University (1994)
Bachelor of Science in Speech and Hearing Sciences.

Ohio University (1996)
Master of Arts in Speech/Language Pathology.

Certifications:
Speech Language Pathologist Certified by the American Speech Language and Hearing Association with the Certificate of Clinical Competence and Licensed by the State of Ohio Board of Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology.

Bio:
Jenna is a Hillsboro native. Graduating from Hillsboro High School in 1990. She has many years of experieince working with pediatrics, adults and geriatrics with speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing difficulties. Jenna specializes in pediatric outpatient therapy as well as adult inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation.
